A great example is National Park Headquarters, (located 0.6 miles to the north of Secret Harbor) which can add great fun to your day at the beach.

If you're interested in finding out more about the history of the Virgin Islands there are nearby opportunities. For instance, Fort Mylner is located 2.8 miles to the west of Secret Harbor.

Secret Harbor isn't the only beach you'll find in the Virgin Islands. Vacationers may also stop in at Sapphire Beach, which offers an active beach scene. You'll find it 1.3 miles to the northwest. Sapphire Beach, on St. Thomas's eastern shore, has amazing views, family-friendly beaches and a variety of amenities for guests, while also being a favorite spot for snorkeling with the kids.

If your search is for something further from the beaten path, consider Salt Pond Bay. The secluded little beach at Salt Bay offers beachgoers privacy as well as excellent swimming conditions. So on your next trip to St. John, go off the beaten path and sample these sandy shores. You'll find it 9.7 miles to the northeast.

You might also want to visit Lindquist Beach, which can be found 1.6 miles away from Secret Harbor. One of the best secrets on St.. Thomas is Lindquist Beach, a perfect Caribbean beach, that resides off of an unmarked dirt road, and thus stays unpopulated in a busy tourist area.

The variety found in the Virgin Islands makes for many experiences for many different travelers, whether or not you choose to make Secret Harbor a part of your vacation.
